About Us

Who are we?

Hi, my name is Becky and I set up Little Wilderness (at the time I called it Little Wild Things) in 2018 as a 'hobby' and it's somehow ended up becoming my full time job! I am originally from Northumberland, but I've been living in Scotland for over 10 years and I love Glasgow, particularly Southside where I live with my husband and daughter.
Little Wilderness all started out with making Kokedama, a Japanese form of Bonsai which involves wrapping plants in a kind of organic 'pot' by binding the roots in soil, moss and twine. I started making them from my studio in The Hidden Lane in Finnieston, and then selling them at local markets in Glasgow, and to my surprise they were quite popular!

Fast forward to now, with the addition of a baby and a year of a pandemic (and a sudden surge in houseplant love) and it has grown into a houseplant and homeware business which I run online and more recently in our new space in Battlefield, Southside.

My husband, a barber by trade, and I have created a unique space that houses both our work and interests in our new shop front. A barbershop Tues - Sat, and then every Sunday we transform the space in to a Little Wilderness. Come and visit us on sundays between 11am - 5pm and browse our full selection of plants in person! Find us at 11 Battlefield Avenue, G42 9HT.
